  1. It’s been the MidOhio school since like 2010. STT has the same requirements.
  2. Uh that’s not new. I’ve been riding midohio since 2009 and coaching there since 2015. Wiring the drain plug, filler cap and filter has always been in place and for good reason. Honestly the requirements are right in line with all of the other big players in the track day industry.
  3. Curious, what do you consider excessive tech?
  4. The brutal power delivery you mention was probably your throttle map. Did you modify it or just use someone like superbike unlimited’s flash? My bike isn’t brutal at all but Mark and I spent a good amount of time getting this right.
  5. That’s interesting about the power delivery. I love the way the crossplane comes out of corners. I need to see if Mark J will let me ride his sometime.
  6. Nice. What do you like better about it? I think I’m switching it up next year also. Probably gonna keep the R1 as well
  7. For the most part you are reading it incorrectly. There may be a few races where 600's and 1000's are gridded together. Keep in mind they are still in separate classes so you will have a winner for the 600 class and one for the open (1000) class. Senior superbike being one that i can think of off the top of my head. This class is for racers over 40 so for the most part everyone rides responsibly. You can race a 600 in the 1000 class if you want to and some people do that. A classes are for 1000's and C classes are for 600's. I've never seen those classes on the grid together.
  8. Have to call the office on that. I just coach.
  9. I get it but it never stopped me from signing up at other tracks and I would never ride in the rain. Most riders don't ride in the rain at tracks that have wet grip anyways. That all ended for me this year when I was given a set of true rains at Nelson to ride on. It was absolutely amazing.
  10. I agree. I would like to know this info as it helps me plan as well. I’ll mention it.
  11. Yes yesterday was perfect. Track was awesome. FYI, With everything going on the track is requiring a certain number of preregisters or else they are canceling. So if you’re considering sign up ahead of time. Sucks for all of us but nothing we can do about it.
  12. It will be closer to a full day that half a day. 5-6 sessions would be my guess. I’ll know more tomorrow.
  13. Mark Junge at MidOhio is selling Pirelli's.
  14. Like others have pointed out, looks like you locked the rear up momentarily downshifting which upset the bike and caused you to go off track. You pulled the clutch in and let the revs drop down to like 4-5k then let it out too fast. Try not to let the bike free roll like that, get your downshift done quickly blipping the throttle to reduce shock to the chassis.
