  1. A Tiger works. We have need for both two-up and solo riders.
  2. The Ironman 70.3 event is in need of volunteer motorcycle escorts. The event starts and ends in Delaware, OH on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Motorcycle escorts are used to carry race officials during the bicycle portion of the event. There may be opportunity for single riders also. Last year we had about a dozen riders. We can use more riders. Your bike should comfortably carry a passenger and have a quiet exhaust, as we ride amongst the bicyclists. To register as a volunteer for this event, visit http://m.ironman.com/triathlon/events/americas/ironman-70.3/ohio/volunteer.aspx
  3. The Ironman 70.3 will be held on Sunday, August 21 in Delaware. Motorcycle escorts are needed for the 56 mile bicycle portion of the event. To volunteer for this or other positions, http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/events/americas/ironman-70.3/ohio/volunteer.aspx#axzz46NgYnINC
  4. Hoagy Carmichael is having a charity ride for autism on Saturday, August 13. Come to West Virginia and enjoy a fun ride and good eats. http://www.hoagysheroes.org/index.php/all-events/12-the-hillbilly-hotdogs-dawn-to-dusk-500?date=2016-08-13-07-00
  5. Hoagy's Heroes Insane Ride Week is next Wednesday through Friday, 06/08-10. This is a great opportunity to ride one or more Iron Butt rides with predefined routes and receive your IBA certificate Saturday night, June 11. Come on out and support childrens' charities and have some fun. The forecast calls for perfect weather. http://www.hoagysheroes.org/index.php/all-events/11-hoagys-heroes-insane-ride-week-2016
  6. Whateverit is worth to you. BMW has a historically high-priced 50k service. The available service records help to establish the value.
  7. Denver is an easy ride if you are going out I-70. Swing north or south for some more variety and slightly more distance. Be sure you know the signs of fatigue and stop prior to it becoming an issue.
  8. Plenty os spots still available in locations throughout the state. Sign up before the weather breaks. At last night's class, we had three no-shows, so three of four walk-ins got a seat in this weekend's class on the Hilltop.
  9. My Moto Guzzi Norge has an integrated starter/kill switch. Why all bikes don't use this design is beyond me.
  10. Support a good cause. You may never need it yourself, but many riders will need this. Support your fellow riders.
  11. Get professional training from Motorcycle Ohio.
  12. Delaware, Ohio is hosting an Ironman 70.3 event on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Motorcycle riders are needed to provide transportation for race official, photographers and others. Sign up at http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/events/americas/ironman-70.3/ohio/volunteer.aspx#axzz42u2NCyZL
  13. Doh. My bad. Glad I get comp tickets. Those ticket prices are on the high side.
