  1. I totally agree that you need to teach your children about the guns. I was a cop for 20 years and guns were in our house and our son and daughter. I took our kids out to my wife's parent's farm. I took the most rotten watermelon and placed it on a pile of wood. I used the biggest load in my 357 mag (this was before cops started using semi autos) could take. When I shot the melon it exploded. I then explained to them that if someone is shot with a gun it isn't like a TV, the person will not get up. They will die. Then I taught them gun safety, how to handle a gun, when to shoot and when not to. I didn't leave our guns laying around for their easy access. They were kept locked up. Our son was 12 at the time and our daughter was 10. They are now in their 30's and we never had a problem with our guns. They now own guns and are teaching their kids like I taught them.
  2. My wife and I rode on this accidentally. What it was we had rode south on 7 from Hubbard down along the Ohio River. We wanted to head back and came upon 536N. I thought well, its going the right way. I would never have ridden it the first time with a passenger. It was a real challenge. It was much later that we found out that we had ridden on the Ohio Dragon. Not a route for speeding and when it says a 90 degree turn up ahead it means a 90 degree turn up ahead.
  3. Good for her. My new hero. Could there be a connection between the increase in honest people gun ownership increases and right to carry laws with the decrease in violent crime?
