  1. SUP! Current Westerville resident, haven't ridden in a bit but i'll be back in the saddle next season. Welcome!
  2. Interested! I'm down here in Columbus now, so I'd love to attend the hearing.
  3. It's more to provide a modicum of protection for the average rider against a super-petty line-level officer. A deputy feeling authoritative can nail you with a hundred different fines and fees; it's best to remove as many laws as possible to provide the people with Liberty instead of ticky-tack fines.
  4. Ooh...! I like the front swingarm concept. And the fairing strakes remind me of the RF900R that Suzuki used to make. And it looks like whoever mocked this one up did a lot to de-bulk the front fairing. Maybe it's just the angle, but it looks a lot leaner and more athletic. I'd ride it...
  5. Just saw the buried "electronics and horsepower" comment lol. 145 is almost there...
  6. Buy my 2005 FZ1 31k, full Givi 3 bag setup, Pauly was doing the work on it until I moved down to Columbus. I'll be putting a steering head bearing and new brake pads on it this offseason; doesn't need anything other than a hard wash.
  7. You going to be doing custom wiring for it? My V65 ate its entire harness up within the space of a week; whoever I sold it to ended up stripping the engine out for a different project.
  8. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/6177944193.html Pretty solid deal on a K1200RS -- assuming the brake servo is still in good running order and the shaft splines are on point.
  9. Oh i know -- those lined jeans aren't bad at all. i've worn them around work several times already this year. They're a LITTLE humid, in a "didn't have any clean underwear left so I threw a pair of pajama pants on underneath" kind of way. The material itself is woven but it's not as insulating as a wool or dedicated thermal liner would be, so I believe it'll be passable in the summer. It's really breathable, so as soon as you get on the move it'll cool off.
  10. TBH no off-the-rack jeans are going to offer any kind of valid protection in a crash. It's just cotton -- they'll explode as soon as you touch down. I wear a pair of Bull-It riding jeans -- they're stretchy and they have a liner material called covec that's heat resistant, abrasion resistant and cut-proof; they look good, too. If you're dead-set on jeans, try to find a pair of riding-specific jeans that offers full abrasion-resistant liners.
  11. No problem, man. I saw a youtube video of a serious cluster headache breakout on reddit. I've never seen someone with a migraine punching themselves in the temple to try to re-gate the pain. Unbelievable what folks go through, and to think that's such a little-known affliction! Stay healthy, bud, any way you can. I'm no herbal-life, hippie anti-doctor kind of person, but those heart-shots sound dire.
  12. @Danimal That sounds like a great time, dude. One thing I wanted to mention -- and not sure if you'd be open to this or not -- but I heard that psilocybin mushrooms are like literal magic when it comes to alleviating cluster headaches. I've heard what cluster headaches are like, and based on the descriptions I'd imagine they're pretty horrifying.
  13. I decided to keep mine for a while! This is a big step for me. Typically, I will find a reason to dislike my bike, wait until something breaks, and then sell it on The Bike Shop for anywhere from $300 to $500 and go into debt to buy a new one. I'm getting this one set up for a topcase and might look into fairing removal this offseason. I have always liked the look of naked bikes better than faired, and the half-fairing on the FZ1 is purely cosmetic, doesn't do a thing for wind until you're in full tuck. Might go single or triumph-style dual headlights and windscreen instead since it's currently got the mounting points for 3 hard bags.
  14. Maybe it's a bad angle but this looks kinda chubby to me. Knowing Buell it's probably a monster and is definitely way faster than my current bike... but it looks pregnant.
  15. Realized that my rear tire was down to cords in two places
