I was going to buy a bike at Hines. When I went home to get some paperwork I sat down to compute the numbers they were throwing at me. The asses were adding $1600 to the price of the bike. $500 to buy down the interest rate, bullshit and $1100 to finance me. They were adding this money to the loan in order to give me a loan on my bike. I called Ohio Northwest and talked to Michael and bought a Honda from them. When I called the States Attorney office about Hines I was told that there were 7 or 8 investigations going on them for questionable lending practices. What they were doing is soooo illegal. I hope they get their asses sued. (Not that I am bitter)

I have had my bike for about 36 hours and have put about 140 miles on her. I have ridden around Columbus and outlying areas and had the run of experiences so far. Which is good, it is keeping me on my toes. So here is the rundown. Sitting in the turn lane at a traffic light, first in line. Driver behind me starts honking his horn at me. I look back,this idiot is trying to tell me that I need to pull forward. I am already well inside the cross walk lines. Any further I am in danger of being clipped by turning cars. Like he doesn't think I am aware of the possibility that the turn signal won't trigger and we might sit for a little bit. So glad he could help me ride my bike. Oh and the turn signal arrow did come on. Their car must have tripped it. Yeesh!?! Two stupid kids crossing against traffic paying no attention, wait for the truck ahead of me to pass and they continue, almost ran them over. Then the guy in a hurry to get out of the company parking lot and get home almost pulled out in front of me. Good thing I watch ahead and anticipate drivers actions. And the last of the day was the car behind me honking the horn for me to make the left turn that I was making, apparently I was not risking my life quickly enough for them. All in all I would say an average day on the road.

Just took the MSF course. Got my endorsment. Picked up my 750 the next day and have been comfortable riding. Learned a lot of skills that will be helpful. For $25 and a few hours of my time and the chance to use a 250 to do all of that on, worth my money and time.

Hello everyone. I just bought my first bike, 2008 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. I decided that this would be the perfect 50th birthday present for myself. And I was right! So I have ridden smaller bikes off and on over the years, but this is the first time I have been an owner. I picked her up today and put 80 miles on her just putting around town getting to know her. So I will be looking for people to ride with and to have some fun!
