"FOOLS" said I " You do not know"
I ride as fast as the wind blows
I'll rev it higher than the eagles soar
Going faster than I did before
But the exhaust note went quiet as a church mouse fart
Damn it won't start
Listen to the sound of Triumph.
And in the oil pan I saw
Ten metal shavings, maybe more
On the timing chain there was some slack
In the head casting I saw a crack
And coolant was dripping on the pipes
Need more shop wipes
This is the sound of Triumph
Hello Darkness, my old friend.
Another bike sucks wind again.
Because a tiny intake valve floating
Left both its rider's ear ringing.
And the valve was flattened by the piston crown;
Not so round.
Is that the sound of Triumph?
And the track day came and went
On parts all my money spent
Still my bike sits there motionless
Cried enough tears to fill an ocean, yes
But stubborn to my very dying day
I will remain
Loyal to the sound
Of triumph.
Take Izzy. I cant ride anyway.
Shit, maybe not a great idea, it's got scary tires for the street. If you have a spare set of tires and wanted to swap them... I still have that set of RoadSmart IIs in the garage, kinda beat up, but still life left for the street.
You down in that area now? I'm wondering how much debris etc there is on the roads from the winds. A few weeks later and the "leaf season" would be over quick!
That's cold man
Got my 40L top case today for the Z. Much, much better than the 55L that I took off the Connie to try. Still a tad big looking but the usable space is about perfect. Best part is both bikes and boxes take the same mount so I can use either box on either bike. So I can now carry my lunch to work, run errands and have a place to stow my helmet and gloves when I get there.
Two months ago I got stopped by the Policia doing 110 MPH on a toll road in Mexico, I negotiated with the cop down to 1000 pesos ($52) from 1500 pesos on the side of the road. I know the locals only bribe the Policia 500 pesos or less, but I'm a Gringo! Wonder if I'll get points on my Ohio license... LOL, so corrupt in Mexico!
Pulled a power wheelie on the 2-3 shift at about 100 mph by accident. Took her home and gave her a badly needed bath. 2700 miles in and the rear is close to the wear bars in the center tread. Gonna put some Q3 plus on next season.
