Back in the CORE days, there used to be a Pittsburgh sport bike forum called Steel City Riders. We'd get together with them from time to time. I know they did most of their street riding in WV & SE OH...little in PA. I personally haven't ridden much in PA, sorry.

This seems to be a pretty glaring issue, not enough gear out there to fit the wide variety of female shapes out there. I had a thought: Aramid (kevlar) material is pretty inexpensive and can be bought by the bolt onEbay. Why not get some of that, some nice soft comfy material to go between it and your gams, take it all to a seamstress along with a pair of Jean's that fit you well but maybe a bit loosely, and have a pair of custom riding jeans made? I'm sure you could also bring impact armor and some velcro and have her make pockets for them that ACTUALLY keep them on your knees, which is a problem with mens jeans as well. You could also sew this up yourself, if you have room for a sewing machine next to the stove.

New Roadsmart 3s for the trip out west. New front brake pads too these probably would have been fine for the trip but didn't want to take a chance when I had a new set in the tool box already. My used but still usable tire collection is growing. Keeping tabs on the miles I put on them and will put them back on sometime this year to use them up. Also changed the oil. I little early but will keep me from worrying about doing it during the trip. Fresh WIX filter and 5qts of Rottela T6

I'm sure you don't want me to go into TMI detail but... Due to medical reasons I can't ride my bike for at least the next 12 days. Going to bum me out. All I can do it get her ready for the trip out west and hope my issue is resolved by then. On other notes, my wife got ran over by a firetruck in her daily driver Thursday. Front end damage, she was sitting in traffic with the truck then they got a call. They lit up the lights sirens right next to her and she attempted to get out the way but they didn't wait for her to be clear and ran their rear tires up over her front bumper. Totally their fault but due to lights and sirens being on my insurance has to cover it minus the deductible, but they are going to rule it as a "no fault accident". Still waiting on the insurance to do their thing but it is driveable. AND.....The other morning she decided to take a tumble down the steps leaving the house and broke her hand. In a soft cast till she sees another doc. It's been a bad week for us. So we are sitting at home watching a harry potter marathon on USA and self medicating. It's the safest thing we can do right now I think.
