  1. We don’t really ride the Gap (except for Midget Todd). We ride all the roads around there.

  3. Luke, Thanks for the ride. it was nice meeting new and seeing old. I was not dancing while operating a motor vehicle. I was doing some PT on my recently rebuild Rotator Cuff. Lateral Raises with a little external rotation added for style.

  7. Just got off an 11 Day Road trip for work. The 2018 tiger 800 XRT was the right tool for the job. Only five of those days are in the rain LOL.

  9. A plus this time of year is its alway cooler at the top of the Parkway. And yea I'd skip skyline drive unless you just want to say you did it all.

  10. Be careful in the mornings though. Lots of overhanging trees, so lots of dew and damp roads.

  12. Every two years I ride the BRP south with the wife and her spyder. I would skip skyline drive,. save it for a short trip. 219 is a nice route down thru WV. to 250 will take you to the north enterance. The lodges are great places to eat and stay. Also hit little Switzerland, NC. Great place to stay/eat is (the little Switzerland inn) On top of the mountain. If you get tired of the parkway and need a break jump off and stay in Floyd, VA. Hotel Floyd has live bluegrass playing on the grounds and Dogtown Roadhouse has live classic rock and great food. If you need to make time 221 south will get you out of Floyd and moving. Back on the parkway south Tuggles Gap Rest/hotel is great also.If you make it down to the 58 intersection you have the (Meadows of Dan) Campground if you are into tent camping. Good Luck and enjoy.

  13. Haven't been on here for years, but last week I picked up a new toy. A 2015 FJR1300A. This has been my dream bike for about 4 years now. I've had a 2002 Honda 919 since 2012 which I still have, and had a 1996 Bandit 600 from 2008 to 2011 which was my first bike. I found a pretty good deal on this ($1k under bluebook) from a dealer and only had 5600 miles. I absolutely love the color too and 2015 is the only year for it. This is a bike I'll probably hang on to the rest of my life, I'd likely only get rid of it to trade in on a newer model year of it, or something drastic. Only having had a Bandit 600 and Honda 919, this thing is infinitely better on the freeway. So much more stable, not fighting the wind, tons of power, etc. I can't wait to ride it more! And yes, I'll be removing and replacing the tank protector, not quite my style.

  19. So the pro grip tank pad I bought specifically because it was black with blue edges has completely had the blue bleached out by the sun in less than a week. Wtf?
