This probably isn't going to be a popular opinion here but hey, it's getting close to winter so why not start now. Isn't the best way to honor the country, our values and those that fought and died to help preserve those things to allow these American citizens their right to protest? Just because someone is doing something you don't like doesn't make it wrong. The founders of the country knew this and wrote the bill of rights because of it. Also, it's a bunch of football players. Who gives a fuck. Seriously. If the NFL loses viewership over this, they will either fire the players or just do away with the national anthem before the game. It's a business.

370 miles today, 1200 for 3 days! Awesome day, very little traffic. I did the Georgia loop. I love 28 south of Highlands to Warwoman. Forgot how nice 68 is south of Tellico Plains. The Skyway was great, I forgot that some of it has been recently paved. The FJR loves it, 3rd gear 50-70 mph almost the whole way. Did one pass on the Dragon. 28 from 74 south to the Macon county line is bad, it has fresh asphalt patches. It looks like they are ready to topcoat it. And for a late lunch, Krambonz beef brisket.

Finally took a couple videos on monday. Nobody was setting any personal bests or anything but had a great day of riding.

Those same people are now citing the league rules regarding conduct during the anthem, clutching their pearls and shouting 'shame'. Shoe, I'd like to introduce you to the other foot.

Lol, everyone pissed about the anthem while they break the us flag code on the field by displaying the flag flat to the ground. It should only ever be displayed free and flying. Same goes for all the fuckin 'murica apparel that is American flag print. Also against us flag code.

So the implication in that wall of text is that people shouldn't be so easily offended? Great advice, I hope those offended by the anthem protests get your message. After all, that right to protest was a huge part of what they were defending. In fact peacefully excercising that right seems like the ultimate recognition of their sacrifice. Way better than naming a team after them.

On rides like this, that's what it's for, spare gas in case somebody miscalculated. I even carry a specially made transfer hose that hooks into a quick connect behind the side panel to pump gas from that tank to another container. No worries. A few years ago when I did the Sorebuttapolooza ride, I thought it'd be aggravating to stop every 100 miles, as the route was planned. The truth is, it was refreshing and a relaxing change. I'm completely good with any kind of trip, so long as I'm on two (or three ) wheels and out of NW Ohio.

830 miles total for 2 days. I jumped on the Blue Ridge at mile marker 217 and rode down to 423 mile marker. Took 215 south to Charley's creek road, like the Dragon but needs paved. Staying in Franklin at the Microtel for 2 nights. Planning on doing the 28, N. Georgia loop tomorrow with Krambonz for lunch.

We've got the browns. Football is some boring, depressing shit. Haven't watched a game in a few years. Haven't seen any of the motorcycle elite take a knee on the podium when they play their national anthems, although the USA is now not represented since Nicky got taken. It seems that most, if not all of the NFL kneelers are protesting inequalities in the justice system & law enforcement & have no qualms with those that put their lives at risk in the military. Their right to protest in the manner they do is one of the strong points of our constitution. Hope that doesn't fade away like the browns. Of course, you definitely have the constitutional right to vote against the kneelers by not watching the NFL (like I don't). Flag flown every day at the house here.

The vast majority of these players aren't protesting anything. They are just being trendy. Kneeling is the new planking, or Tebow-ing.
