  1. To answer your question.......The answer is no. I think This Old House has a forum. Take it there before this turns into a 20 page thread on the merits of galvanized 10 penny nails over plain steel.

  3. I got a set of molded plugs for work. They were ok, but not as comfortable as I expected. I went back to the foam ones and am a happy camper. No issues using them with my communicator.

  4. Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I rode 536 Saturday. Other than the train of cruisers, it is open. I rode 26, 260, 800, 536, 556, 145, & 78. All great condition.

  5. The tell tale sign is all over your bike! The outside of the chain can look great, but the light coating of rust dust on everything means the chain is done. Glad you did not go down... sucks about the damage, but that can be replaced. If you ever see a light rust color all over your swingarm or rear rim, replace the chain or this will happen.

  7. The other I was on the highway doing around 75 and felt a bang. The engine immediately quit, and I coasted to the side of the road. My chain broke. I'm lucky it didn't get under the tire. It hadn't been giving me any indication anything was wrong, I lube it every day I ride, and adjusted it when needed. I knew it had some miles on it, but when I got home and checked my records, I was surprised. It actually had 19,000 miles on it. It shattered the clutch pushrod, broke the side sprocket cover, the chain whipped up and bent my license plate, bent the chain guard, and broke the underseat plastic. It broke the magneto cover where it shielded the wires, but luckily it didn't put any holes in the case. It did smash the magneto wires, I'm going to try to repair the wires, they're attached to the stator and a new one is $250. The wires are smashed right where they enter the rubber plug, so it's going to be tough. I think I'll pay more attention next time and just replace the chain at 15,000 miles.

  8. 250-600-750-1000-1400...the best rider on a sport bike will be getting on the track and getting some laps in to really experience what these bikes can do as well as make you better on the street. I have a 750 with factory suspension. It's fast enough but doesn't allow me to rely on drag racing to get ahead lap after lap. I've been tracking for 3-4 years now and it's still faster than me. Stay safe pushing it like that on the street. Like what you ride and ride what you like.

  9. I used to have an HJC I used for years and decided I wanted a helmet that was better quality all the way around with an integrated tinted sun shield. After a shit ton of research and trying on every option at the Pony, I decided on a GT-Air. I have used it for a season and a half now and it's a fantastic helmet all the way around, they only thing I would change is to add another vent to move a little more air flow around the head for hot days, other than this I have no complaints.

  13. Hi guys. I work at Eastwood in Parma. want to let people know if there interested we are having a cruise in for bikes on July 1st. Just a small event. But wanted to let all riders know and maybe come check out the store. I am working on convincing my boss that there is a market for local riders. They seem to forget there are more then just car guys around. The event is 8am-noon so maybe stop by before enjoying the day of riding. Cruise On In FPG Flyer_PARMA C.pdf

  15. https://www.plugfones.com/hearing-protection/motorcycle-earplugs/ Hearing protection and music in one. You can typically find them at Menards with the other hearing protection. For $25, they are great.

  16. For you and me, yah, that's messed up.. ..For a raw beginner, who has few mechanical skills and wont be doing track days, with around 65hp and a flat torque curve, the classic UJM is ok for a starter bike.

  17. 4 trips down and back on the 3 mile boardwalk today. So that's 18 miles on the pedal machines. Last one was a nice night ride with all the lights on the boardwalk.

  19. Me and the Mrs. took a stroll on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk today. Got soaked on the way back but it actually felt good. Going back out once this 2 lb burrito and 3 Dos Equis I drank at the local Mexican joint passes a bit.

  20. Sold, 07-0617 thanks for all your help. Selling this awesome scooter. Great for teaching people how to ride. Plenty of storage and a backrest/top box for passenger comfort. 16" tires make it one of the best handling step thru scooters out there. Dual front disk brakes with steel braided lines make it a competent stopper too. You won't find a cleaner used one on the market. Seriously the most fun two wheeled vehicle I've ridden on the gap. It passes every cruiser and even some un suspecting sport bikes. 4,957 miles, new rear tire and oil change, Givi top box for extra storage, extra tall windshield installed, stock factory windshield included. http://www.kymcousa.com/showroom/scooters/peopleS250/specifications.html

  22. For those of you track guys that use the Pit Bull Trailer restraint system, I have a custom set of pins I made for this scooter that will be thrown in the deal. This alone has to be worth thousands of dollars.

  25. Here is everything you need to know about Gun Control laws in the US: California has among the most restrictive gun laws in the country. The California Senate (including Diane Fienstien) are responsible for many of these restrictive gun laws In 2011 the same California Senate voted 28-8 to exempt THEMSELVES from these restrictive gun laws http://joeforamerica.com/2017/01/california-senate-exempt-gun-laws/ Clearly their lives are more important and than the lives of the citizens of the Peoples Republic of California

  26. It contradicts your premise that the availability of firearms equals violence. What was your (revised) point again? In the United States you can make the argument that large concentrations of liberals cause gun violence. Statistics tend to support that argument.

  27. Gets the Hiro stamp of approval--worth its weight in dirty water. Standard seating position. Rear drum brake, probably less likely to lock up. Single front disc...pads will cost less? Air-cooled, on the positive side, fewer parts to go bad. Looks nice. A 750 should have decent power. The rear seat should work well with a net or tail bag. No fairings to break. What's up with the pipe under the right side? Rust?
