Been a tough 9 days My wife has been in the Cleveland Clinic for the last 9 days. She had to have a valve replaced in her heart that was defective since she was born we only found out about this 3 months ago Luckily she walked 5 miles every day so everything was strong and working right except for the valve We also lucked out and had the top surgeon in the world do her surgery. They had her up and walking 2 days after the surgery and sent home 6 days later she is home now doing great.

Riders Discount is buying us pizza Friday night. Everyone be sure to thank Mike and everyone at RD. I will post more details as we get closer.

Ok, so since the Elyria PD just released a press release saying all of this I can tell you more now. Just before noon the EMA (Elyria office of Homeland Security) got a call from someone saying they were 'John Doe' at our school. 'John Doe' being the name of a real student at our school. He said he was in a bathroom with multiple weapons and a propane bomb and intended to take out a ton of peeps. He stayed on the line with them for 20 minutes. EMA went full on. We had them, State, County and local PD here along with ambulances and fire. We had a few seconds warning from our on site police officer before pretty much all of the Elyria PD came through the front door. 'John Doe' was quickly detained, then the building was swept and then they escorted us out under guard hands up one room at a time. As you may have guessed by now it wasn't 'John Doe'. He had been targeted by some people he was having a fight with on the interwebs. Those people then SWAT'ed us and framed him. FBI has been asked by the EPD to help.

This is the way I normally feel as well. But... I'll never forget July 2000, the first and only time I've been to Mid Ohio, and this guy called The Kentucky Kid whom everyone was talking about. I remember he won a truck after a race, then was signing autographs. I didn't know him, or even of him, but my friend did, so we waited in line. A long line! It was almost dark by the time we got up to him, and all I really remember was his smile. Shaking hands, signing whatever you had, smiling, and that accent. He had more than talent, he had charisma. I immediately became a fan, although I didn't get his autograph. I truly feel sorry for his family, friends, and fans. Nicky was a good guy, despite being a superstar.

So the epic ride made me re-evaluate my current bike choice so I'm now in negotiations for the below sexy beast. Friday hopefully the rubber hits the road and I'll let you all know how it went. 2012 ZX6R, 4400 miles.

Talked to my buddy, got more info. Sounds like just an idiot kid - he (kid) drew a picture of a gun with a note "don't come to school tomorrow" and left it laying around. My buddy made it sound like a threat was called in when I talked to him yesterday.

I hope she does well in her recovery. That's some scary shit there. Wish you both many more years together.

Tagged this Gobbler last week city bois. The two morning's I hunted this bird after finding him he would gobble at my calls then walk away. Hmmm, call shy, I needed a new plan.Went back in the evening and set up near his roost area just back from a rise. Some crows flew in nearby with their rowdy raucous and I hit the gobble call one time. In less than 5 minutes he appeared at the top of the rise. He was in sneak mode though looking around and not displaying any colors on his head. With the leaves on it was somewhat dark in the woods and I couldn't tell for sure that he was not a hen. I held my fire while looking for some red as he started to peck at the ground. My heart was beating like a jackhammer when finally he stepped into a lttle more light and I could clearly see the red neck of a gobbler. As I raised my weapon for the shot he dipped back below the rise and disappeared, my heart sank as I lost track of him. After a few minutes I double gobbled and that brought him right back up. This time he was displaying all of his white and blue. Umadbro? BAMMM! Dropped him!When I went to the edge of the woods where the sunshine was for a pic I spotted acrossbow bolt stuck in a tree and decided that is where I would hang him.22lbs, 10" beard, 1" spurs. Sometimes better to pass than not recover and spend years in a vegetative state. Very sad nonetheless. RIP Nicky.

When I was in HS we could pretty much count on a bomb threat during finals. It was typically some stoner just trying to get out of a test. No one ever thought there was actually a threat. Times have changed.

What'd you do?

Apologies for not showing up to the actual ride. Once I actually cancelled, I didn't look at the weather again as a fear of gross overload. Then I get a phone call at 10 like, let's go meet them at the ride, weather took a change, so I suited up and headed south. Decided it was only a day for enjoying the ride, rather than footage, but I did stop to take a photo through one corner of @whaler @Tonik and @Kruse08 Nice meeting everyone at dinner. That place took forever to get the food, holy cow. and.... we only ordered salads! Look forward to seeing you guys at the fall one! I doubt it will happen though cause rain always cancels this event lol.

As I have stated before I will be bringing my Travel Trailer. In a desperate spot I could put a single bike in the trailer as long as it was not massive. I will also have room for at least 2 other people if anyone wants to ride in the cab of my pickup.
