  4. Sounds like IP is the real deal with his advice. FS frames are less than ideal for most riders looking at recreational bikes. You'll end up with a cheap POS that will be heavy, undersprung, and prolly blow thru linkage bushings in short order. If you want to bit of extra 'cush' you can always get a suspension post that will mimic a bit of the FS feel and weigh less and be more efficient.

  6. Cleaned the gsxr's calipers. Flushed the fluid brake fluid too. Changed the oil in the SV. Cleaned the SV. Rode the SV.

  7. Shocks can be mechanically locked out /swapped for rigid tubes. I did my proprietary fork when it's internals blew. low end used frames can be had cheap just swap the components over.

  8. it's fun to try the different wheel sizes/fats susp travels to see how they handle the same terrain. Last demo I tried was shimano running giant bikes. They were perfectly in tune. Of course my old bike spit out it's tube stem in the rack while I was out without it.

All beautiful back roads I prolly had a good day of ride done by the time I am there but after suiting up including layers and heated and helmet, I decided to shed again to revisit the bathroom, poopinator ... Always like I be back. too much excitement lol ... really Samuel l Jackson should describe the days progress so far.

  12. Be careful with map gas on the cast aluminum. Not all castings are made the same and some will start to melt before you can even get your filler to wet out and stick. Watch the heat in thin areas.
