  1. My boy wanted to do a small restoration project with his moped and here are the results so far... He has done the hard work; tear down, stripping, sanding. I did the spraying and help with assembly when needed. It's been fun and I hope he has learned a great deal from the experience. before After

  3. We all know @RidersDiscount is the best. But the level of service is beyond impressive. I commented in the "what do you need" thread. I recieved quote after quote, all great prices. Now for the impressive part....it was on a Saturday night. Mike wasn't even at work! He was delievering excellent customer service on on a Saturday night. Now I realize this won't happen all the time but wow...I never expected him to answer until Monday. Thank you Mike. Oh and our stuff is on its way!

  4. Yeah I probably shouldn't of replied, since I really wasn't directing my experience at "retail" sales. Just putting out there what I know was/is happening at our shop, with UPS, and that may have something to do with when they say it's shipped, but actually hasn't. Havent bought from MSS in quite a while, kind of on a Revzilla kick now. Good luck. Hope you get your order (quickly!)

  6. Well, being the weather is crap for outdoor shooting. I have been reloading .30-06, lots of it. I didn't load the AP ammo on the right but all of the standard FMJ rounds have been loaded in the last two weeks. There is 1008 total rounds of ammo in the picture all on Enbloc clips for the Garand rifle.

  9. If you wish, you can come in and sit in on a Novice classroom session or several and see what we discuss and do. Basically, you can interact as much as you desire and get comfortable in order to take that first step. Ask any of us for help with questions and we will be glad to help you out.

  11. I wish I had a camera because I'd probably get plenty of feedback! Turning from a stop: While counter-steering and leaning your body into a turn is used above a certain speed, counter-leaning and direct steering is used when maker slow-speed and U-turns. That's when the bike leans, but the rider stays more upright. Or you could stay more inline with the bike. (I guess I should take back what I said about a bike being able to lean without turning. If it leans, it turns. What I was getting at is, if you continue to counter-steer the lean angle will continue to increase to the point that the bike lays down! In that case it won't turn! haha Ideally, you'd set your lean angle one time and leave it there by relaxing the pressure on the bars.) Maybe we should train like this? https://youtu.be/J99mT1GJYTw

  13. I think it has to do with which side the throttle is on. I've gotten better about it though. I use the "screwdriver" grip method when cornering and that without practice can be a little awkward when cornering right and having to modulate the throttle. +1 on just time on the bike. You should ask some of these guys when I first started riding with them. I rode my own ride but I wasn't "quick" at all. A few years later with lots more time on the bike and practicing cornering techniques I am not only faster than I was, I am safer while doing it. Also, keep in mind I had been riding almost 7 years and thought I knew what I was doing, then started riding with guys on here and was immediately humbled. I took it as an opportunity to learn. Cant thank these guys enough.

  24. As mentioned in the other thread i have a 99TJ and parents have an 04 Rubicon. Stepbro has a 12 Sahara and had an 08 Rubicon modded to hell. Cannot beat them for a summer fun and winter fun vehicle. Cheap to modify, easy to maintain yourself and keep their value. Any issue I have run into has been solved via google on a jeep forum. Nothing beats a top down, doors off cruise in the country or off roading.
