  2. There is nothing wrong with this and there is nothing illegal about buying a gun and gifting it to your wife. The illegal part is buying a gun with the intent to resell to another. Also we are not "reporting the sale" we are simply doing a background check to verify you can legally purchase the gun

  4. Thought I would bring this one back from the dead. I've begun running good bit. Okay, well, A couple 5ks a week. I've always been into bicycles, and in recent years, joined the spandex crowd on the road bike. I sold all of my motorcycles over the summer(minus the JR50) and have really focused on bicycles. I purchased an airborne goblin, and started riding all the local mountain bike trails I could find. This progressed into:" I need a new road bike" So after much research , I settled on a 2016 giant defy 1 disc. So I've been attempting to log 50 miles a week, via bicycle. One day around thanksgiving I really wanted a workout, but didn't have the time to go ride for a few hours. So i thought I'd try to run. I laced up my recently purchased new balances, warmed up, stretched and away I went. Upon leaving the house, I had it in my head I was going to try to run a 5k. I didn't care how long it took, I was doing it. My first 5k I managed to pull off in 30:39. I felt miserable, but the bug bit me. I wanted to go faster. In the following weeks I have mixed running/roadie/mountain bike and gate practice at the indoor Bmx track. I have continued to run weekly 5Ks and managed to shave some time off. My best time being 26:50. Now, the unexpected benefit to this running shenanigans, has been how much it has helped my cycling. My cruising pace on my roadie has increased from 16mph to 18-19 mph. BMX racing is pretty much a full on sprint with some jumps for 60-90 seconds. I feel much more explosive out the turns, and typically by the last turn, I was running out of gas, and now I am much more stable at this point. I believe I will continue on with this running business, and hope to run a few 5-10ks in the spring. Anyone else here use strava?

  6. Found a real nice Corolla, but my kid doesn't give enough of that shit to skip partying with her dopey friends to help me get the truck back together so we could go buy it, so this Mazda is up for sale. She's on foot.

  9. I went to Google Street View. I didn't see a speed limit sign, but I'm assuming it's 35 mph based on all the driveways. It's dark. I'm in my car. I expect to see the headlights of other vehicles on the street. That tells me they are there. I'm not expecting a dark object to be flying up the street well over the speed limit, at night when it's hard enough to see things. I make a left turn when I see no other vehicles coming towards me. SLAM!!! WTF was that? It was impossible to see. I was focused on distant vehicles approaching me. They had headlights clearly visible. I think the law may state that a headlight must be visible from a certain distance and must be turned on when dark. Apparently his was not visible from that distance on that evening. I would be very likely to kick him while he's down. I'd be pissed. Asshole! If you are going to be stupid, at least be stupid in the daylight so that we can all see it. I'm not sympathetic to morons. . .

  10. Are you trying to tell me that it's not a good idea to take away your ability to brake and steer while there are other motorists around? Next you're going to tell me that a headlight shining up in the air is less visible than one aimed down the road...

  12. Something needs to change for the better concerning accuracy and anti-fraud, that is for sure. In person voting an ID should be mandatory in every single state, but of course if there is a way around that in terms of absentee voting......you can bet your ass it will be done. The system is far from perfect, much like everything else there is typically a loophole or a chink in the armor.
