  5. I went to this same show exactly a year ago and got an NIB S&W M&P 15 Sport (no dust cover or forward assist) and 3 pmags for $600. And I pad $100 for 300 rounds of green-tip 5.56 nato. This time around that $700 would get you a used lower receiver, 3 pmags and enough left over to fill those 3 mags with bullets and 40 spare.

  6. I would take salt to pour in my wounds, thread and needle for self stitching, sock to bite on, whiskey, razor blade to cut my eyelid to see if needed, wire brush to clean my road rash, and a stapler to close deep gashes. Yeeeeeah, that's the kit I would take. :woo:

  7. I just watched the video for Miley Cyrus's Party in the USA. I'm not sure when she started dressing like a slut and dancing around like a two-dollar whore, but I'm ok with it.

  8. These are the general numbers I have seen as far as gun ownership is concerned: http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/united-states That means the government, military and police, have a rough total of 3,951,953 firearms, still 266,048,047 less the the general public has. Sure the government has bigger and better guns, but an all out war would leave the country a desolate wasteland. About 68:1 in favor of the general public. According to the US census, in July 2011 the population was 311,591,917. Wiki cites active military personnel is 1,456,862 and Reserve personnel is 857,261 for a total of 2,314,123. Bureau of Labor Statistics says there are 794,300 police and detectives in the US. Population not including military or police, 308,483,494. Number of military and police, 3,108,423. About 99:1 in favor of the general public. http://www.bls.gov/ooh/protective-service/police-and-detectives.htm According to a 2005 Gallup pole, 30% of Americans own a gun. Personally I believe it to be higher due to many not wanting the government to know. But that means 93,477,575 of American's own a gun. Now remember there are only 3,108,423 police and military in the US which means there are 90,369,152 more people that own a gun than the number of police and military. That's 3007% more if I did the math correctly. http://www.gallup.com/poll/20098/gun-ownership-use-america.aspx Just some food for thought.

  9. Well, when I posted about the '09 bill that was getting alot of attention on Nov 28th of this year I got alot of heat on here about "fear mongering"...... It was info sent to me from a few friends working intell in Special Op's Command. Fools by any standard for sure. A month later now... Stopped working on my chopper and snagged 3 more rifles and 28 mags like a fool clinging to an outdated document penned by long dead right wing extreamists. It was a blessing that I needed to sell all of my stuff at gun shows to pay for grandma's new hip, kidney and liver and I only have my issue Glock. I guess it's better that threats like me don't own evil inducing objects like the black rifle. Group hug at my place, we can smoke recreational marijuana, discuss the benifits of green energy, decide that notional debt is no big deal, tweet on our obama phones and sing kumbaya around the fire of foreclosed home sighns. Good times.

  11. Blows to your opponents head, that cause physical damage, are always considered serious. It is the quickest way to produce fatal results. And jail time. Baseball bats are in that category of a dangerous weapon, when used on the opponent's head. Pretty much anything that you can swing that is harder than a skull/bone. So is any training that will enhance the strike to the head. Any modification to an ordinary object, can be "a weapon of design". Intent can be construed as built in by the owner/operator. A somewhat famous example is to drive a spike or big nail through a board or baseball bat and swing that. You can include duct taping a make shift grip on a piece of steel. Even being found in possession of a modified device can result in charges. I do know some one that was hit in the head with a baseball bat. Serious damage was done. The attacker was given a long prison sentence. I know some one that was hit over the head with a pitcher of beer. If the attacker had been found, he also would have had a prison sentence. Yes, just because something can cause physical damage does mean it can be considered a deadly weapon if the circumstances warrant that conclusion. Yes, it's a grey area. The thoughts, decisions and actions of the operator have to be considered. In criminal prosecution, certain elements need be present for conviction: Mental State The criminal act must be voluntary or purposeful. Conduct A criminal act or an unlawful omission of an act, must have occurred. Concurrence Either overt and voluntary action or a failure to act when physically able as required by statute or law. Causation In some offenses, the crime actually has to be completed for prosecution.
