fyi, and kind of cool. The olympics don't use a hog ump because they have "eye of the hog" installed in all the stones.
The handles are metallic and if there's anything touching them as they cross the hog line little red lights turn on indicating a hogged stone.
Pretty neat if you ask me

this took me a while to figure out but this chart would have helped with the mind numbing experience of watching for the first 2 hours and having no idea in hell what was going on.

It's good that you can win an olympic medal in a sport that requires no athletic ability whatsoever.

The thrower you mean? They use a broom for stability, although they sometimes use a stability stick instead.

Like Women's Hockey?
Watching the Canada ("the best team") /Finland match last night, they may have 'athletic ability' but it sure isn't in hockey.
