To fix or to buy?

If to fix and you need a parts quote, call any of teh dealerships and ask them for a quote on plastics... I'd get it to a Suzuki dealer and get them to give you a quote for the parts and the amount it will cost to put it back together.

Submit that total to the insurance company and then buy the parts on Ebay and do it yourself and pocket the remaining amount and put it into goodies for your bike.

Easy fix, for sure...

Is this your bike or a bike your looking at buying and fixing up.. If its your bike then +1 to what lizard said. If your looking at buying it and fixing it up, I would make sure you look it over with a fine tooth come and if its rideable, take it for a spin to see if there are any engine probs.

Push your limits until you crash.. then back off just a bit.
Determination and tactics will overcome advanced equipment and a lackluster desire.

Well, just tell him that a new set of OEM plastics alone is going to set you back about $1500 and see if he wants to sell or not. Ebay would be your friend.

You will then probably have a few hundred $$ in misc parts.

Find out what he wants for it.
