But the 357 will bring down a deer and a lot of other things too. Cost of the ammo has the 357 as the winner. Availability and quantity on the shelf of the ammo has the 357 as the winner. Yes, I could have bought the 44, but I don't have any 44 ammo or weapons, so the right choice for me was the 357. Only 250 of each cal were made and if I had gone for the pistol grip model here , there is an additional version available in 45 colt and production is not limited to the 250.
