I am looking to sell my project track bike.  It's a 1996 Ducati 900SS.  Asking $3500, sorry no trades. Located just west of Pataskala, OH.  I picked this up to have a project track bike but a better deal on a newer machine has come up and I need funding for the new bike.

For the rest of the fun stuff.

Disclaimers; Bike is track only, I don't have a title for it but I purchased it from a CPD police officer and can get you the history on at least the last 3 owners if really needed.  The bike passes the NICB Vin check with no records on it.  Vin is readable and not tampered with

The good stuff.
Frame has no cracks in the steering stem and is freshly powder coated.  Wheels are fresh powder coat also.  Lightweight aluminum swingarm.
Bodywork is carbon fiber Sharkskin track profile.  Paintjob is project track bike quality but could be buffed up if you wanted to spend the time.
Fuel tank is OEM and inside is clean, no rust.  New fuel pump installed.
Engine has the 944 big bore kit, last major service done by Ducati Indy.
Full aftermarket exhaust, was told the pipes are D&D but have not confirmed.  Will say they are loud.
Carbs are factory Mikuni CV carbs, I full stripped, bulk tank cleaned and reassmbled.  They need final tuning and syncing.
Brakes are brembo front and rear with new pads and new braiding stainless lines.  I have brand new fluid cups for both the clutch and brake that will come with the bike.
Cycle cat clutch cover
Woodcraft clipons.

I have done the following since I have had it.
Oil change and filter.
New Cam belts and the oil seal behind the cam belt driving pulley.
New OEM opening and closing throttle cables.
New Shorai lightweight lithium battery.
Carbs cleaned and reassembled.
Replaced the fuel pump inside the tank.

If interested please feel free to ask any questions.  This bike is still a project and I will represent it honestly.

Got a bump for added value and same great selling price.  Bike got CycleCat full adjustable rearsets on it today.  Comes with both GP shift and conventional shift levers so you can set it up however you want.  GP shift is on it currently.

New photo's, look it's even on a trailer ready to get delivered to your house.  winkwink  :)

Spent the weekend at the Mid-Ohio vintage races.  Had it parked at pit 7 on Saturday and Sunday.  If you were were there and interested I hope you got to see it.  Price is negotiable.  Send me a PM, I can give you my cell and we can talk if you want.

All the rain made for a muddy time riding it around the track.  Promise it has already been washed and is cleaned up.

I'm going out to Indy for Moto-GP next weekend.  If any of you are going and want to see it in person let me know and we can set something up.

A few more pictures.

The new fluid cups mentioned previously.

New addition to the fun and a bump.  Price still $3000, now comes as a package deal with a spare street-able clean title frame.   If you want the frame installed on the bike I can do that for you but the price of the package increases to $3250.  You get both frames for the bike either way.

Wish I didn't have cash flying into this hole in the ground I call a house. I'd be al over that, especially with a street title.

I'm willing to work a trade deal if you have a 2000-2500watt portable generator to throw in with cash.  Need something for track days to run tire warmers and a box fan.  I am here to make your dreams come true.  :)

Just as a heads up, I'm hoping to do my first track day this year up at the Mid-Ohio racecourse on 5/23.  I will have this bike in the bed of the truck if anybody is going to be there and wants to see it.  I will have everything with me including paperwork, bring cash and a free trailer spot if your interested in doing a deal.

So while trying to get it running for the trackday I mentioned in the last post, I found I had no spark to the vertical cylinder.  The bike now has a new pair of ignition pickup coils and I was able to sync the carbs while I was at it.  She starts and runs as smooth as a 900ss should.  Still for sale.
