HELP!!! Removing spike bolts

If a deep well socket won't fit, sometimes I wrap aluminum foil around the nut or bolt to force a good fit.

But sounds like mostly clearance problems around the outside of your sockets.

Need some really thin wall sockets....

Yes, I second your opinion. Some of the old style sockets were really thin wall.

They look easy to break, but are old school sockets. When crap was made in the USA and would never break?

For the side plastics, they are ridiculous!!!!

By any chance are these in those little rubber fairing fasteners with the brass inserts?

 

If loctite was used on the brass inserts, you pretty much need to destroy the fastener to remove it.  Ask me how I know :)
